The British Museum FrameworkPrint Case Study

Value: £1m - £2m per annum
Duration: Current (five-year framework)
Quantity Surveyor: N/A
Architect: N/A

We secured the initial five-year Framework Agreement at The British Museum in March 2006, having previously worked for the Museum for over sixteen years providing the role of maintenance contractor for much of this time.  We were awarded the six-year framework (single contractor) secured through competitive tender in 2011.

Our work for The British Museum includes gallery refurbishments, building fabric works and both back & front of house projects including:

  • Toilet Refurbishments
  • Shop Fit-out
  • Stone Cleaning and Restoration
  • Fire Stopping Works
  • Corridor Resurfacing
  • Building Fabric Repairs
  • Refurbishment of Directors Dining Room
  • Duct Strengthening
  • Security Works
  • Riser Infrastructure Works

We manage and co-ordinate the Framework Agreement at the Museum using a dedicated on site management team who act as the principal contact between the client and Coniston. We also have a dedicated team of trades people based at the Museum, who are security cleared for work therein.
