We carried out the refurbishment works on the Ambassador’s Residence at the German Embassy, in London.

The German Embassy is a Grade I listed building located in Belgravia. Working within the Embassy required adherence to the strictest security regime, both for Coniston operatives and throughout our supply chain.

The works comprised the removal of the existing ceilings to both the ground and first floors, and all services. Moulding of the ceilings were taken to allow the artisans to re-create the original ornate detail in keeping with the building’s Grade I listed status. New ceilings were then installed throughout the residence, with a complete redecoration package. Intricate decor and gold leaf was applied to the coving by specialist subcontractors to give an opulent finish.

The existing parquet flooring was sanded and re-polished in-situ to return it to its original condition.

A comprehensive mechanical and electrical package was carried out to provide all new services to the residence, including trench heating and a new plantroom. Fully fitted catering kitchens were also installed.
