10-40 Ridgmount Street, Garage Conversion

Value: £1,000,000
Duration: 35 weeks
Architect: Waterland Associates
Quantity Surveyor: Thompson Cole

Working for the Bedford Estate, we carried out the conversion of existing garages into new residential apartments.

The project was located in a confined residential street, just behind The British Museum in London. Due to the location of occupied units adjacent to the construction site strict guidelines were laid down by the client with regards to access, storage and working hours.

The garages were initially stripped out, and completely remodelled as apartments. This included substantial structural strengthening works to open up the space to provide the required units as there are two further storeys of occupied flats above.

Following the remodelling work we then carried out a complete fit-out of the properties to include high-specification kitchens and bathrooms, a full mechanical and electrical package and complete decoration.

Like our other residential properties this site was registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme.
