John Rathbone

Group Chairman

John as the original founder of Coniston, continues to play a role in its development, but after more than 40 years, he has now handed over the reins of management to Deano, starting in 2024. John started his industry career as a plumber and to this day remains passionate about the understanding and delivery of the technical and logistical solutions required to produce work to the very highest standard.

Deano Georgiou

Managing Director

Having worked in project management roles for a number of contractors, Deano joined Coniston in 2014 and quickly rose through the ranks. Appointed as Managing Director in January, Deano brings a demonstrated passion for specialist construction and a new era for Coniston, whilst retaining our original values.

Steve Clarke

Contracts Director

Steve has a background in both operational and commercial roles enabling him to successfully oversee our projects on site. He spent over fifteen years in the high end fit out and joinery market where he gained a fastidious eye for detail.
Steve is a fervent promoter of apprenticeships and training schemes, working closely with technical colleges and industry experts.

Andrew Wildgoose

Financial Director

Andrew has been with Coniston for over 25 years, originally within our pre-construction team. In 2012 Andrew took on the role of Company Secretary and today is responsible for the finance team. Andrew works closely with our sister company Apollo and has successfully developed the health sector team within Coniston.

Matt Sellars

Director and H&S Director

Matt has extensive experience of managing multi sites for large estates where his fastidious planning and organisational skills are deployed to meet strict time restrictions. Since joining Coniston in 2015 Matt has been promoted to Director and has overseen some of our most complex projects. In 2017 Matt was made a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building.

James Vevers

Director

James is a Director, responsible for all pre-contract activities; he started his career with a major contractor subsequently moving to a contractor specialising in restoration and conservation projects. He has held both commercial and operational positions equipping him with the breadth of experience to oversee the full pre-construction team. James also holds responsibility for managing our supply chain.

Gary Evans

Commercial Director

Gary has managed the commercial team at Coniston for over 5 years having previously held a senior commercial role within a large National Contractor.
Gary is responsible for ensuring that contracts are executed promptly and accurately and retains tight control over project finances making certain that financial information is correct and delivered in a timely fashion.
