1 Hans Street, Residential to Commercial Conversion
Value: £700,000
Duration: 44 weeks
Architect: Calford Seaden
Quantity Surveyor: Calford Seaden
We carried out the complete re-modelling and refurbishment of No. 1 Hans Street, a five storey building in Kensington London for use as offices.
The property underwent a complete strip-out of all existing M&E, fixtures and furnishings. This was followed by the installation of new tanking in the basement area, replacement of kitchen units and sanitary ware, the refurbishment of the existing lift, new M&E services, new floor and wall finishings, new internal alterations and a full decoration package.
Internally, a number of historic features were conserved and restored including fibrous plaster friezes, cornices and centre pieces. The project also involved substantial external rear facade repairs and restoration, facade cleaning and redecoration.
The site was heavily constrained in terms of the location being on the corner of Sloane Street and Hans Street with the works taking place within the curtilage of the building.
