Working for the Homerton University Hospital NHS Trust, Coniston constructed a new police station and external arrivals area within the grounds of Homerton Hospital.

The project involved the construction of a solid timber frame structure and the installation of offices, meeting rooms, lobby and secure police holding rooms. New welfare facilities were created including a new WC and drainage system and a new kitchen area. The project also involved numerous external works, which included paving drainage, and steel canopies.

The arrivals area was required to be unobstructed and available for use throughout the project, 24 hours a day.

Heras fencing was installed in the arrivals area to create pathways to allow access for members of the public. Meticulous planning went into the complicated phasing of the pathways, as they had to be continually relocated as works progressed.
