Value: £2,750,000
Duration: 80 weeks

Quantity Surveyor: Potter Raper Partnership

Working for the Portman Estate, we completed the conversion and refurbishment of 44 and 45 Manchester Street. The property is situated within the Estate’s Conservation Area on the north west side of Manchester Street in London.

The project involved the structural alteration and high specification fit-out of six apartments from the basement through to the third floor. The rear of the building was demolished with the subsequent construction of a new two-storey extension.

New services were installed throughout to include underground drainage and a comprehensive mechanical and electrical package.

Due to the listed status of the property (Grade II) many of the existing features were required to be conserved. This included significant restoration works to the lime plaster walls, and the refurbishment of the existing joinery to restore it to its original condition.

New kitchens and bathrooms were installed, and two external courtyards created at the rear of the building.
