Working for the Fortius Clinic, we completed refurbishment works to create a new MRI scanningand X-ray unit at their premises in the City.

The Fortius Clinic is a leading Orthopaedic and Sports Injury Clinic with locations based across London.

The installation was carried out in logistically challenging conditions. The MRI scanner was required to be lifted by crane over the existing building and down a narrow access at the back of the building. Steel reinforcements were then installed across the existing floor to allow the scanner to be moved into place. Following installation, the steel reinforcements were removed from the floor to allow the subsequent refurbishment to take place.

Works undertaken included new main electrical supplies, new air conditioning, radiation protection, RF cage, 70m quench pipe, nurse call, small power/lighting, emergency lighting, ceilings, decorations and floor covering.

All works were completed on time and within budget.
