This ‘Child and Family Centre’, dedicated to the care of young people with mental health problems, underwent a complete phased refurbishment covering numerous floors of the existing building. The specification included communal areas, offices, classrooms, social rooms, catering facilities and residential rooms. We were also tasked with the refurbishment and repair of the existing lift and lift shaft.

Beatrice Place was originally a care home for the elderly and required considerable alteration work to meet the NHS Trust standards required for its conversion to a residential facility.

The work included the provision of a new sensory room, roof top garden with glazed doors leading into the offices and an outdoor play area with soft play surface.

Both the day-care and residential patients at Beatrice Place (including both children and adults in the day centre) were in occupation for the duration of the work.
