Coniston worked over a four-year period as framework contractors at Middlesex University. The framework covered all campuses for their capital projects.

This particular project comprised the construction of a new terrace deck, to create an outdoor leisure / social area with a connecting bridge into the Students’ Forum Bar and food hall, via a new opening with bifolding doors.

Works involved the initial removal of 2700T of soil in preparation for the new deck area. The deck was then constructed of a steel frame with bison planks, and the structure was then covered with block paving and completed with stone-filled gabion baskets and decorative planters.

A new canopy was erected to cover the seating area, constructed from a steel frame with a canvas canopy across.

Additionally, we removed an existing tennis court to create a new paved area to house the portacabin lecture rooms and new table tennis tables.
