Trusted relationships
A few words from the people we’ve had the pleasure to work with.
Coniston have worked here refurbishing most of the buildings over the last 10 to 15 years, so their knowledge of Somerset House gives them a real advantage. They know the structures inside out, and I know I am putting the building in good hands whenever we carry out a project.
What I value most is the partnering approach. It is not about being contractual, it is about doing what we need to do. Quality in the product is everything, especially on a building like this.
Finding traditional skills is becoming harder and harder in the industry, and Coniston possess those skills. They understand historic buildings, they respect them, and they keep producing the quality these buildings deserve

I first worked with Coniston on the Painted Hall at Greenwich, and it was a very happy project.
They provided exactly what I was looking for: a team that could work in partnership with us, and with the other stakeholders and contractors on site. We could talk problems through, and there was a real sense of collaboration, which does not happen very often in projects.
I have since worked with Coniston at Sheerness Dockyard Church and here at Barts, and the relationship is as strong as it was after that first project. They have always delivered excellent quality of work and good management, but it is also the relationships that make the project work. At Barts, it was a very happy project. I would absolutely recommend them
